We go every Sunday morning and have bought various tarts both sweet and savory and get our multi grain bread. Today , we bought the bread and pistachio raspberry crusted madeline (really good). The quiches have also been excellent. My favorites are the eggplant gallete and the canelle. The service has always been efficient and professional. I try to go early because it gets very busy on the weekends. For great breads savory tart and sweets, you can't go wrong here.

Take Out ONLY Berkery with WOW presentation. I specially liked beautiful Fig-Pomegranate Galettet(until Oct 8) There's no seating and no service... I just wish they had a café setup! Sometimes people line up. Sometimes people line up. There are a few parking spots in front of the store and along the street.

I just simply love this place! It’s pricey but worth every penny. The staff is courteous and accommodating. I recommend the cardamom buns, scones and the small packaged chocolate chip cookies as those are my personal favorites. Of course there’s plenty other goodies to choose from. I highly recommend you check them out and bring $$.

If you've lived in Europe for more than half your life, in countries like Poland or Germany, bread is something special, almost sacred to you. Unfortunately, you won't find regular bread in average US stores. THANK GOD THERE'S A BALTHAZAR BAKERY IN ENGELWOOD. You can find incredibly delicious varieties of rye and wheat bread, breads with a Northern and Southern European character. They also have delicious cakes for "elevencies"—I especially recommend the lemon bar and mango tart. The service is incredibly friendly. The aroma from the bakery wafts a mile away. If I could, I'd give it 10 stars.

I feel fortunate to have access this incredible place. The service is efficient and the selection is above standard. I do wish the service area was larger as it can be overwhelming with customers and access to self serve is where people wait. I do not like feeling rushed and a favorite term by attendants is “anything else????”— it’s like, “lady, I just got here and there’s five people standing in front of the case

SUPERB EXPERIENCE. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable; they'll even give you pronunciation tips for the trickier items like the kouign-amann. It is actually pronounced 'queen-ah-mon' !! I picked a few items to try, including a kouign-amann, some date and pistachio ma'mouls, pecan sticky bun, monkey bread and a bag of chocolate chip cookies. The Canneles and carrot cake slices were by far my favorites! The pastry display is beautiful, with helpful little label cards for every pastry. Just a heads up for first timers, it is a takeout only spot, but there are convenient slanted parking spaces right out front. I highly recommend stopping by!

Very busy during holidays. Well staffed. Very lucky to have this bakery in the neighborhood. Don't be inconsiderate...there is no tip jar, but they accept tips. The staff work hard for the customers and I see them being very kind to demanding people. Enjoy your delicious pasteries, cakes, pies and breads and leave a little dough behind for the staff.

🌟 Absolutely Worth the Hype! 🌟 From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked artisanal bread and pastries hits you — and it only gets better from there. Locals rave about the amazing variety and exceptional quality of everything from classic sourdough loaves and baguettes to delicate pastries like kouign-amann and seasonal galettes. The team behind the counter is consistently described as friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful, even when the line gets long — which it often does! Many reviewers note that despite the crowds, the taste and craftsmanship make every visit worth it. Whether you’re grabbing a flaky croissant for breakfast or bringing home bread for dinner, this bakery delivers top-tier baked goods every time. 👩‍🍳🥖🥐
